Dear Brother Larry,
What a wonderful, Godly, joyful and blessed time we experienced all during your visit. All at Killult Christian Fellowship, and in many other places here, are richer because of your Spirit anointed witness and fellowship. As a reminder, I have included a summary itinerary/schedule of the many meetings and places visited. It was our privilege to witness many people being touched and blessed by God through you. You exercise your God-gifted testimony and preaching with an infectious conviction and an engaging friendly enthusiasm. May you continue to do so for His Glory. Africa 2008
Pastor Wilson Maungo, national church planter in Kenya and Uganda (46 churches planted to date), came and visited with me May 6th., through the 16th..Wilson and I attended Good Shepherd Missionary Training School together in 2006. In 2007 I went to see Wilson in Africa visiting 11 churches in Kenya and 1 in Uganda. It was during this visit that the Lord put on my heart a desire to help the orphans of Muroki and Kitale (43 children total).
Below left is a toilet being constructed for the children and teachers at the church (which is also used for a school during the week). Next shows the building after being constructed of logs, filled in with stone and mud, then "stuccoed" over using a concrete stone mix (seen piled up outside the church). Instead of a dirt floor, the children now have a cement floor( which keeps parasites in the old dirt floor from burrowing into the children's feet and causing infection). After that there's a picture of Alice and Sumbua (Lilian) passing out school uniforms to the orphans.
All of this and so much more is a result of your giving! Chris Newbern's church in Adel Georgia, Harvest Baptist Church in Millbrook AL, First Baptist Church of Spencer, Faith Baptist Church AL, Pineview Baptist Church, AL and the list goes on including many individual donations which also consisted of inmates from several prisons giving out of their need! Because of your kindness, children are being fed, clothed, housed and taught. The Gospel is being lived out before them in Word and in deed.

London 2008
June 2 through June 6, 2008, I spent with Walter and Rosemary Pettman in Northern London. While there I shared at their Wednesday night Bible study with a group from their church (Muswell Hill Baptist Church). God blessed that evening and it was a special night of fellowship. Walter and Rosemary are wonderful servants for our Lord and it was such a blessing to be with them again. During this time I also spent two days touring London in a double decker bus, the height of which, was a visit to John Wesley's Chapel.

Prison Ministry Expanding
I continue to work as a Chaplain's Assistant for Chaplain Burger at Belmont Correctional (near Wheeling, WVA) on Mondays and Tuesdays. Monday nights I teach a course at Trumbull Correctional near Youngstown; my brother Mike has been helping me a great deal there. Tuesday nights I teach at Noble Correctional (near Marietta, OH). Jim Slingland has been helping me teach both at Belmont, and at Noble. Saturdays, I teach at North Central Correctional and Carrie Corona has been assisting me there.
I have been praying for laborers and God has provided some good ones!! Also, I've conducted Gospel services at all the above prisons including Tumbull's womens prison. Many new professions of faith were made during these services. In addition, during April and May, I was on the banquet trail guest speaking for We Care in PA and OH (3 banquets) and for John Schmid ( Common Ground Ministry) at Sam Yoder's farm in Houston, DE.. April 20th., a good portion of the praise and worship team from FBC Spencer went to North Central Correctional to take part in the Sunday service there. Many were apprehensive about going into prison, but once there the Holy Spirit took control and the service was awesome! So...Sunday June 22, we're going to do it all again!
One of the goals I have for the prison ministry is to encourage churches in becomming active in this area of ministry. Not only are the inmates blessed, but the volunteers are blessed and I truly believe the church is blessed as a whole. Our Lord has a missionary heart. Work continues with juveniles at Stark County and Wayne County Centers, and I'll be sharing there again June 29, 2008. Please keep those services in prayer. Thank You! Larry Skrant
